STORY:

Saraswati was my favourite Thakur when I was a child. Two days, all books would rest at Her feet. It was believed that if you remove books during the Pujo and the day after, your report cards will be cursed and you'd fail exams. This is my most loving memory of the white Goddess.
Another striking memory of Her is her spelling. That's the first thing parents would tell us. If you can't spell her, how would She bless you? We would get confused where the "?" would sit - the first "?" or the second.
Everytime the local kids came for Chanda (subscription for their Pujo), elders at home would tell them to spell Saraswati. It was a pre requisite. "??????? ????? ?? ??!"
